If you have an Australian Retirement Trust (ART) account, you may be aware of a cyber security event that occurred last week. ART has confirmed that unusual activity was detected on a small number of Super Savings accounts. If your account was affected, you would have received communications from ART on Friday confirming the suspicious log in activity. If you have not received any communications from ART, then your account was not affected. ART has also confirmed that though there was suspicious activity recorded on some accounts, no suspicious transactions or changes have been detected as at the date of this article. What are the next steps? If you received communication from ART, immediately ensure that your password is changed and follow all instructions provided in their email to you. If you have not received anything from ART but are concerned about activity on your account, please call ART immediately on 13 11 84. What if there is no suspicious activity on my account? It is still recommended that you update your password and enable two-factor authentication if available. If you do not currently have online access, you can find out how to register here.
Be extra aware of phishing scams and ensure that you do not provide personal information to unsecured sources. If clients have any concerns with their accounts, we recommend first contacting ART, then getting in touch with us. We are unable to change passwords or any other aspect of the member facing portal, but we may be able to assist you in updating contact details or checking your account balance and transaction history.
